As Dawn Breaks

As dawn breaks,
I think of the life

I once lived
years prior,

Living in the city
that never sleeps,

Learning my purpose
and creativity,

Sharing poetic bonds
with kindred connections.

That purpose still
dwells within, even with

A change of city,
and bonds growing distant.

I still thread my
poetic life,

Never wanting the
pattern to cease.
