stories over the phone
angers me, yet I hold my tongue.
For now.

sacred moments
of peace, leaving stresses
behind until another day,
relaxed.

Her past is a mystery,

and she takes comfort in

Lashing out at others

until she figures out

How to trust in others,

since experience brought

Waves of disappointment,

unable to practice

Her unique gifts, and

her mentors guide, and wait.

There is a chill
in the air

As I walk down
the path

I've taken many
times before.

The path is
worn and beaten,

Imprinted with
familiarity.

It's time for me
to venture on

A new path,
fresh with possibility.

Screaming,

shouting, feelings

of shock and awe upon

realizing that he still does not

get it.
