As the setting sun
paints shades of orange across
darkening skies, I
think about the sudden turns
my precious life has taken.

Several hours
Alone with thoughts and dreams
Of a calmer mindset, reaching
Stillness.

of deceit,

Which is now frayed

is a path to more

Intricate stories to come,

adding another layer

To your evolving

life journey.

Steadily

I see promise

all around me,

Rising like a bud

breaking through dirt,

It grows slowly,

steadily, until

It shoots up

with firm quickness.

I see this as 

I prepare for

My next step,

and ready myself

For the growth

that is to come.

Threading
your life with mine
is such a joyous act.
Our lives blend in such harmony,
peaceful.

Splintered

When the place you've once
called sanctuary

Falls into great
disrepair,

When the place you've once
considered a haven

Splinters and fails
from broken promises,

All that you can do
is mourn,

So you grieve for
the peace once shared,

Peace that will never again
emerge from that space,

Then after you've grieved,
after all the tears are shed,

You take a deep breath,
pull yourself together,

And continue on your
journey once again.
