Ray of Light (a haiku)

The summer beckons.

My soul is soaking the rays

of nourishing light.

Walking to Warmth

Put down the weight

of your aloneness.

Release isolation's heavy

grip on the soul,

for it longs to

bind your strength.

Ignore the voices of

doubt and fear which

threatens the spirit daily,

and welcome

A friend's warm voice,

helpful outstretched hands,

that gentle embrace which says,

'I'm here'.
