Connected

One moment she

connects with another,

Sharing wishes and

dreams;

The next moment,

the connection is severed

And the silence

comes quick.

Her sanctuary feels

barren;

Removed from gentle words

and warm embraces,

The isolation is

overpowering.

She feels overwhelmed

by this absence

Until another

emerges from the dark;

A gentle hand

reaches for hers,

A calm voice

soothes her injured soul;

Kindred spirits connect

through trying times,

Supporting each other.

So important to
