Today,
once again, comes
the realization
that life is passing me by...yet
I wait.

I lay down that hesitation,

the nagging seed

of doubt that

Invades my mind at

the least opportune

moment.

I lay down that fear,

the frequent chant

of 'I can't' that

Threatens to drown

out any progress

I've made.

I pick up my soul,

unlocking the door

of my cage,

Walking out toward

the shining rays

of possibility.
