We used to share
our grandfather's chair,

Cousins, but sisters,
opening up our lives,

Sharing joys and sorrows
to one another,

Grateful to still fit
into that chair for one more day.

Years pass, and now
you and your daughter

Share that sacred space,
ready to make precious

Memories, sprinkled with
tears and laughter.

I smile, remembering
the bond we shared,

Knowing that you and
your child now have

An unbreakable bond
filled with love.
