Waiting for Spring

A new season is here,
and the Earth readies

Herself for sweet
awakening, the snow

Melting into soil,
providing nourishment

For budding flowers;
they bide their time

Until the chill subsides,
as Winter bids

A final goodbye to
our bustling city,

Allowing Spring to
finally take hold.
