As my time away

thankful for my friends'

The lines that connected

us together are torn,

Damaged beyond repair.

I've done everything in

My power to fix a

broken situation,

But it was not to be,

the conflict too severe,

And I needed to walk

away before I drowned

In a sea of doubt and

confusion, and while I

Stand now and try to keep 

my soul serene, you try

To accuse me as the

cause of your broken lines,

Directing the source of

such disrepair on me,

Never accepting the 

task to resolve your life,

Expecting me to bind 

all your fractures, never

Accepting the fact that

it takes two to mend wounds.

I walk away from pain

So I can live in peace.
