like the others,
Like your actions differed
from the others
That deceived me,
yet I was mistaken,
And I am left here
to wonder how
I could allow myself
to be misled.
I can only learn
from this moment,
To be more cautious
in future encounters,
Yet I am left with
a lingering sense
Of betrayal
from what transpired
Between you and me.
