Embracing the Road Less Traveled

Two paths lie before me
as I make my journey;

The first leads the way
to sorrow masked as

Security, a lifetime of
frustration waiting for me

To take the deceiving hand
of safety stretched out...

The other leads the way
to awareness. It is

Lined with solitude, yet
it leads to awareness;

It carries the cloak of
fear, but this can be

Lifted to reveal tranquility
and inner peace...

Knowing the loneliness
I longed to leave behind,

I took the path less traveled by;
for with solitude came joy,

The will to overcome my fear,
and that has made all the difference.
